Guidelines for drafting a provisional patent
This document will guide you in preparing the information necessary for a provisional patent.
Invention Disclosure
This invention disclosure identifies the information you will need to provide to a patent practitioner (i.e. a patent attorney or patent agent) that is going to draft and file a provisional or nonprovisional patent on your behalf. This document is marked as Attorney-Client Privileged as the material you supply to a patent practitioner has been deemed by courts to not be subject to ordinary rules of legal discovery.
Mutual Confidentiality Agreement
This agreement, also referred to as a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA), protects the intellectual property rights of two entities that disclose confidential information to each other. This document should be dated, and signed by both parties before confidential information is disclosed by either party.
